Tough week…. you could say that. A week of many ups and downs. I know we all have those!
Have I let myself doubt my decisions at times? Yes, I have. But you know what, I’ve learned to keep these three important things in mind.
3 Ways of Dealing with Doubt as a Small Business Owner
1) It’s not going to be easy
No one ever said opening a business, finding new clients, figuring out tax info, and all of these types of decisions would be easy! I’ve reminded myself that my dreams of pursuing my own business is worth it. Once I get all the minor details down, I know I’ll be able to do great things. “Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get!” ---Forrest Gump had it right with this quote! Opening a business is like a box of chocolates and sometimes you never know what you’re gonna get! It’s important to learn from everything that may not go right and move forward so you can achieve your goals! I have also reminded myself to find the JOY even in the hard things.

2) Keep your eyes focused on the goal
Don’t let doubt come in and rain on your parade! Stay focused on what you want to achieve. I have found myself writing down my goals, repeating it to myself, and relaying it to the others are great ways to keep me focused on my business goals. I don’t dream low either, I dream high, so I know in order to achieve these goals, I’m going to have to work hard for it! Don’t give up my friend, keep going! “Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!”—I’ll never forget this famous quote out of Finding Nemo. It’s so true though, just keep swimming!

3) Pray, pray, pray
Oh, this is a big one! Don’t let doubt ruin your spirit…. turn to God! This week has definitely had it’s up and downs and I’ve learned a lot over the week, but when I felt doubt coming in, I simply went to God in prayer and asked Him to guide me and help me. He’s done just that too! He knew all of this before it happened as I trust it’s all in His timing and all His plan! I have to make sure I trust and follow His lead and not try to drive this ship myself. You are not alone…you have a Savior that is there and wants you to come to Him for peace and rest. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” -Matthew 11:28.

I hope this will encourage any small business owner, any new business owner, anyone dealing with doubt, and anyone at all really. Here’s to an amazing week where I’ll keep focusing on my goals, working on my business, praying, learning, spending time with my cherished loved ones, celebrating my youngest’s birthday, and many more things along the way. Make it a great week, remember you are in control of your emotions…. let’s be JOYFUL!
