5 Reasons Why You Need Pinterest in Your Marketing!

Why do I need Pinterest? A question I get A LOT! If you are wondering why your business may need Pinterest, then I got the answers for you today!

I have the 5 things to convince you that your business should be on Pinterest!

1) Your content aka pins lasts a lot longer than those posts being posted on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and even YouTube.

A pin can last 4 months + on Pinterest and I have even had pins that are a year old that still gain traction. What other platform does that for you?

One of the reasons I get so excited about Pinterest is the continuous recycling and longer shelf life than other platforms. If you are using the proper techniques on Pinterest, you can have "viral" pins 📌 recycle for even longer and still bring in traffic!

That's because it's a SEARCH ENGINE! When someone searches for key things and your pin has it in the image and description then your pin is shown in the results. You want it to rank high in the results and be one of the first viewers to see. So you see a PIN can be recycled over and over again and keep bringing in traffic (and sales!) to your business 📈!

2) Because there are 400 million users on Pinterest right now!

And it's growing even more! Right now Pinterest is also the 3rd largest social network and search engine in the US and gaining momentum internationally too.

The growth has been incredible over the last few years and more and more businesses are jumping aboard the Pinterest train because of the amazing results it brings!

3) Your Target Market is Hanging Out on Pinterest!

If your target market is women ages 24-35 years old, most likely your business would do well on Pinterest. More than two-thirds of Pinterest's users are women. Also, more than 80% of U.S. women ages 18-64 with children use Pinterest. Pinterest is very popular amongst moms!

Now, don't forget about the men. Men are starting to come over to Pinterest and are making up the other percentages and growing!

4) Shopping is Big on Pinterest

No matter what, products and services are right in front of the users' eyes while browsing Pinterest. Pinners are going to the platform to search for something and are actually open to discovering new things and purchasing. A recent study from Hootsuite said that 77% of weekly Pinners say they regularly discover new brands and products on Pinterest, 98% of them have tried things they find on Pinterest, and 83% have made purchases from the platform based on what they say from brands.

If you have ever searched for a product or service on Google or Bing, then think of that same concept for Pinterest. Users go on Pinterest to search for solutions and are there to shop. Shopping is actually a top priority for 48% of Pinterest users! See your products and services actually can do well and be in front of millions of Pinterest users that are ready to purchase!

(another little side note is that most of the Pinterest users are earning more than $75,000/year and are ready to buy!)

5) Traffic is Incredible for Your Site, Shop, Blog, Group, Email List, Etc.

You would not believe what 1 PIN can do for your website, shop, blog, Facebook group, email list, or any other URL you want to send the user to!

Here are some stats of my client and on pins:

On this pin, this was seen over 19.9k in a period of 5 days with 88 clicks to this blog.

On this pin, this was seen over 26k times in a period of 2 weeks with over 79 clicks to blog.

On this pin, it received over 2.9k views in less than 18 hours, with 21 clicks to this offer for a client.
