3 Reasons Why I Became an Entrepreneur

All I can say is WOW! What an exciting and busy week I’ve had with the introduction of my website and social media pages for Spread the Message Marketing. I’m super happy with all that has been put before me this week. I’ve been able to talk with six different businesses about Spread the Message and many interested in what I offer. I am so very thankful just for the opportunity to speak with these people, learn about their business and their marketing needs, and even present myself and my company before them! I am very thankful that the good Lord has worked all this out this week and I do not take credit for it. He has blessed me with the drive to do something that I’m passionate about, the wisdom to start and operate this business, the wonderful encouraging people that I’m surrounded by, and so much more! I wanted to share with you a few reasons why I started my marketing business. Here are the top 3 reasons I wanted to be an entrepreneur:

1. Have the Best of Both Worlds- Stay at Home Mom and a Career

I always thought this was impossible but let me tell you it’s not! There are plenty of opportunities and businesses you can run in the comfort of your own home with your babies. I’ve found work through content writing, virtual admin assistant, marketing, and now my own marketing business. I am here when my children wake up and when they go to sleep, I am the one that cooks their meals (or reheats leftovers haha), I am the that witnesses my youngest take her first steps, I am the one that reads stories with them, I am the one that gets to attend my oldest daughters field trips and class parties, I am the one that plays hours with random things (am I the only one who’s kids love to plunder and pull out the random things that are not toys??), and I am also the one that gets to pray before meals, before bedtime and any other time with my children! To have this all and still devote time to my career when they are sleeping….PRICELESS! It’s not always easy, but it’s possible!

2. No Need for a Notice When the Military Says to Move

I am a military spouse and if you know anything about military spouses then you know we move when they move! I am so very thankful to my husband’s job that has provided for us and allowed us to see places all over the country! We have lived all over the country from GA to AK and all the places in between. Every move comes with a new setup. When we get to our new place, you have to find a new everything. I’ve had a hard time with finding a career and deciding on what I want to do because of the moves. I’ve spent endless hours trying to figure out what it is that I want to do hence all the different experiences I have such as cake decorating, teacher’s assistant, customer service worker, technical support specialist, administrative assistant, childcare provider, and so much more! It was always an upsetting feeling though when we would get notification that we are moving, and I had to tell my employer that I had to leave. The feeling of not having to worry about any of that when it’s time to move again is hard to explain….let’s just say lots and lots of JOY!

3. Enjoy and Passionate About Marketing…Social Media Marketing in Particular

I’ve always been drawn to marketing. As I studied for my MBA, I knew marketing was a field I could see myself in eventually if given the opportunity. I’m very excited that I get to 6 years later!

Have you ever found a profession that you really enjoy doing and don’t dread getting up every morning to do? Many don’t, but I can say that I do now! I really enjoy all the aspects of this field. I love watching the analytics of each account, I love to watch my clients grow in engagement and sales, I love learning new ways of getting the customer’s content noticed, I love researching what is working in social media marketing, I love finding ways to convince others that a businesses’ service or product will help them, and I love that I can be creative with words and graphics that helps attracts the targeted audience. It’s a never-ending cycle with social media marketing as things are constantly changing so it can be challenging but it’s also so rewarding. When you see a post take off and you hear that your client is receiving lots of traffic and an increase in sales, then it’s a rewarding feeling!

These are my top 3 reasons of why I became an entrepreneur and ventured into owning a small business. I really feel like I’m in a dream and someone should pinch me right now! I hope you will continue following me on this journey and I hope I can inspire you in some way and help your business spread its message!
