To say that 2019 was a year of learning, growing, and blessings would be an understatement!

Amy, Owner of Spread the Message Marketing

This year was full of goals right out of the beginning. I had many goals this year that I really wanted to accomplish. Have I accomplished them all yet? Nope, just thought I'd save some for 2020, haha! No for real, I have not accomplished them all but definitely made some progress.

Here's what I set out to do in 2019 and actually accomplished:

1. Grow in my faith- I will say that yes, this happened. Do I need to continue to grow? OF COURSE! I don't know one Christian that would say they have grown to their full potential, not one. We can always grow to be better Christians. Whether that's praying, reading our Bibles, witnessing, attending church, etc. This year for me was full of growth in my faith though. I feel closer to the Lord today than I ever have. My church, my dear Christian friends, and some family members are a part of this growth too. They have helped me and encouraged me when I was not at my best and the LORD has convicted me through what they say too. The growth in my faith and the love I have for my Heavenly Father is an amazing feeling and one that I get so excited about. After all, He's the one that saved me from my sins! Not only did He do that, but He also blessed me with this business. I knew from the beginning of 2019 that I wanted to become an entrepreneur and start my own business. I prayed and prayed over this. It was not until around April that I could see this vision coming to life. It was God moving! By June, I was filing for an LLC and becoming an "official" marketing agency. WOW! God moved in my life so much this year and in my business. I've allowed Him to guide me and I trust in HIM 100% that all things happening in my personal life and business is all for me to grow in my faith and share the gospel with others! So here at Spread the Message Marketing, you will see tons of marketing things but you will also see my true love for my Savior too! I love the Lord with all my heart and I'm so glad He saved an ol' sinner like me almost 20 years ago and that He's helped through 2019! I can't wait to see what He has in store for 2020!

2. Start a business- well this happened. Someone pinch me as I think I may be dreaming! HAHA! I'm shocked honestly at how this all happened. Did I have a clue that I'd be where I'm at a year ago? Absolutely not! I have always had this entrepreneurial desire from an early age. Maybe this comes from me selling lemonade at my grandparents' street corner at the age of 5, or from scheduling and working yard sales to make some side money, or raking up pine straw, or pet sitting, or even selling homemade jewelry as a teenager? I'm not sure but I've always wanted to be an entrepreneur and own my own business. It's not because of anything but the fact that I wanted to be my own my boss. I'm a military wife and if you know anything about military spouses is that it's hard for us to find a career and stick with it as we move every 2-4 years. I can't tell you how many different jobs I've had- teaching, cake decorating, customer service, technical support specialist, administrative assistant, babysitter, nanny, and the list goes on. I wanted to have a job where I was my own boss and if I needed to move away with the military, I could and wouldn't have to worry about having to quit my job. I'm also a stay at home mom to my toddler. I wanted to be able to have the best of both worlds. Be here for her in the daytime and still have a business. I also wanted to be able to be present in my oldest child's life too and not have to worry about a babysitter or daycare after school. Now let me say, it comes with sacrifices and I don't want you to think it's all easy doing all these things. It takes some late nights, working through nap times, and sacrificing watching tv or other things. But I'm so very happy I started this business and what it's become.

3. Build a team- excitingly enough this too has been an amazing blessing and has taken place this year. I was able to hire two amazing women who are also stay at home mamas like myself to come on board and help me with writing, researching, and all sorts of things. They are my rock and I love having them as part of the team. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for Spread the Message Marketing and the team here.

So as you can see God was surely good to me in 2019....did I have many trials to face? Oh yes of course! But I just seeked Him even in the pits of those valleys as I knew the mountain top would be waiting on the other side. I'm so thankful for this past year and have so many wonderful people to thank too! My family, my friends, my team, my clients, my customers, my church, and my community on all the platforms! I've been blown away at the support and I can't thank everyone enough!

I'm excited for 2020 and what it is has in store! Do I have all my goals ready? Nope, not just yet but I'm carefully trying to come up with what I'd like to try and achieve but also have to realize that its all in HIS timing and trusting HIM and the process. Just remember if you need any help with your social media marketing, Pinterest marketing, or even blogging, I can set up a free consultation to see if Spread the Message Marketing would be a great fit for your business.
